Subject: Lighting sensor trial
Beginning June 3, automatic lighting sensors will be tested on the third floor of our office building. The trial is intended to reduce electricity use in rooms that are not occupied. Employees will still be able to adjust the brightness manually while they are working.
The sensors have already been [83] in the meeting rooms and corridors. During the first week, the facilities team will check the settings each morning. [84] This will help us identify any adjustments needed before the trial is extended to other floors.
The lights should switch off only when a room has been empty for ten minutes. [85], if they turn off while you are working, please report the room number and time to the help desk. There is no need to interrupt your work: the wall switches will remain operational throughout the trial.
